About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are in the Conegliano and Valdobbiadene area, where the climate is particularly suitable for grape growing.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-harvested into small baskets and transported promptly to the winery, allowing vinification to begin within 2–3 hours of picking. After very gentle pressing with a low juice yield, both varieties undergo 12 hours of skin maceration. Fermentation takes place in an autoclave at a controlled temperature of 14–15 °C to preserve the aromas. The wine is then cold-stabilized at −3 °C for one week, filtered and bottled.
Label / history
Bottega created the “Il Vino dei Poeti” sparkling-wine range in 1992. The name means “the poets’ cellar” or “the wine of poets.”
