About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow in Veneto, where the vineyards are protected from cold winds and experience a mild climate influenced by the Adriatic Sea. The mineral-rich alluvial soils comprise sand, gravel, clay and limestone.

Grapes

Manzoni Moscato is a cross between Raboso Piave and Muscat from Hamburg. Professor Luigi Manzoni, director of the School of Oenology in Conegliano, developed it through selective breeding in the early twentieth century.

Vinification

Harvest usually begins in early September, when the grapes have reached the required ripeness and sugar levels. They are destemmed and gently pressed, followed by cold maceration at 5 °C for 12–16 hours to extract colour and bright aromas. After the juice is separated from the skins, the must ferments in stainless-steel tanks with selected yeasts. Secondary fermentation takes place by the Martinotti method at a controlled temperature of 14–15 °C. The wine is then cold-stabilised, filtered and bottled.

Tasting profile

Refined, with bright aromas.

Label / history

The bottle is produced using an exclusive metallisation process that integrates its pink colour into the outer surface of the glass. The wine received a gold medal at the 2014 “Global Rosé Masters — The Drinks Business”, silver medals at the 2014 “Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition” and the 2014 “The Asian Rosé Masters”, and a “Recommended” rating at the 2017 “Decanter World Wine Awards”.
