About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Lagrein grapes grow in vineyards around Bolzano-Gries, on gravelly soils. The weather there is especially favourable.

Vinification

Harvest takes place from late September to mid-October. Alcoholic fermentation is traditional, in steel tanks.

Ageing

After fermentation the wine is aged in oak barrels, then continues to mature in bottle in the cellar.

Tasting profile

Harmonious and refined, with a rich bouquet and an inviting aroma. Ripe fruit notes are balanced by gentle tannins and lively acidity, giving an elegant freshness. The texture is velvety, and the flavour is deep and lasting.

Serving and pairing

Suits roast meat, delicate game dishes and strong cheeses.

Vintage notes

In the 2024 vintage the varietal character of the grapes comes through particularly well.
