About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the 2 ha "Marcellise" vineyard in the municipality of Marcellise, east of Verona. The site extends across hills and plains at 150–200 m above sea level and has alluvial soils and a mild climate. Its proximity to Lake Garda moderates temperature extremes. The first vines were planted in 1980, while the vineyard has been cultivated by Brigaldara since 2004 and is its youngest site.
Vinification
The grapes undergo selective cryo-extraction, involving partial freezing to preserve their natural aromas and flavours and limit oxidation. The microclimate around the bunches and fermentation at no more than 14 °C help express the fruit’s varietal aromas.
Ageing
The wine matures in steel tanks for six months.
