About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Case Vecie vineyard in Grezzana-Valpantena, where marked differences between daytime and nighttime temperatures promote slow ripening, spicy aromas, and a distinctive polyphenolic profile. The extended ripening develops aromatic and flavour complexity.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully selected, harvested by hand in the first half of October, and placed in 200 kg crates. During fermentation at 22–24 °C, the must remains in contact with the skins and is pumped over twice daily. Délestage is performed halfway through fermentation to aid colour extraction. The controlled temperature preserves freshness and delicate aromas, while selective extraction from the skins supports the wine’s acidity.
Ageing
The wine matures in large wooden barrels for 8–12 months.
Tasting profile
Fragrant, well structured, and balanced, with distinctive spicy aromas and delicate aromatic qualities. It combines richness and complexity with freshness and easy drinkability, underpinned by firm acidity.
