About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the oldest vineyards at the La Meirana estate in the municipality of Gavi. Planted between 1952 and 1953, the vines grow at 300–350 metres above sea level on limestone and marl soils.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into small wooden crates and fermented in steel vats.
Ageing
The wine spends 108 months on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks.
Label / history
Vecchia Annata is produced only in exceptional, very rare years.
