About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie on the hills of Verduno and Roddi, at 270 to 350 metres above sea level. The soils are limestone and clay with some sand, which help the grapes ripen evenly while retaining freshness.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested entirely by hand into small crates to keep each berry intact. Primary fermentation takes place in open oak vats and stainless steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine is aged for at least 9 months in large, old French oak barrels. This avoids overwhelming the wine with oak, preserving its pure fruit character, developing a soft, silky texture and highlighting its natural balance.
Tasting profile
Refined and restrained in style, with Barbera's natural juiciness. Expressive fruit, elegance and lively acidity. Soft, silky texture, balanced, and easy to drink.
