History

Filippo Cappellano founded the family estate after assembling approximately 150 Piedmontese giornate, about 60 hectares.

In 1889 Giovanni Cappellano’s vineyard received a bronze medal at the Paris Universal Exhibition. Giuseppe Cappellano, a pharmacist, developed the family Barolo Chinato recipe.

The estate is now continued by the family through its wines from Gabutti and the inherited Barolo Chinato preparation.
