About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay grows at 100 m above sea level on mixed soils dominated by limestone. The vineyard’s first harvest was in 2007.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in the second half of August. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. The cellar uses gravity to move the must and wine into the vats.
Ageing
The wine spends eight months in barriques, followed by eight months in bottle.
Label / history
The wine was created in collaboration with Alberta Ferretti, who designed its label in her own style. The designer-label range was conceived by Paolo Panerai and is linked to Italian fashion. Part of the range’s annual sales proceeds supports charitable causes, including the restoration of Sicilian works of art and monuments.
