About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown in the Chianti Classico area between Siena and Florence.

Vinification

After harvest the grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks.

Ageing

The wine is aged for 3 months, mainly in Slavonian oak barrels and partly in French oak barrels.

Tasting profile

Refined and classic in style, with good acidity and a complex aroma. Somewhat restrained when young, it opens up over time and keeps revealing new nuances in the glass. The bouquet is appealing, the aromas rich, the tannins supple and the acidity good. Young, fresh and easy to enjoy.

Label / history

Part of the Chianti range from Castello Banfi, made in the Tuscan tradition. The range's Chianti wines are all young and fresh.
