Tasting profile

The 2023 has a deep golden-yellow colour with amber highlights. The bouquet combines broom and hawthorn flowers with citrus and dried fruit. The palate is elegant, enveloping, full, velvety and creamy, shaped by a distinct line of acidity. Almond, hazelnut and a touch of liquorice carry through the aftertaste.

Serving and pairing

Pair with Gorgonzola or other blue cheeses and foie gras, or serve it alone as a meditation wine.

Vintage notes

The 2023 season began mildly, interrupted by a few cold days and occasional snow. Budbreak was even. Spring remained cooler than the seasonal average, and May was cool with frequent, above-average rainfall. August and September were hot and almost entirely dry. The slightly delayed harvest produced grapes with a complex, elegant aromatic profile; the resulting wine retained the clarity, refinement and freshness associated with Pomino.
