About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Merlot grows in the Pivier vineyard, among the hills of the Lagarina Valley near the village of Ceniga. The soils are rich in silt and clay, and the area has a Mediterranean climate. The vines are Guyot-trained at a density of 5,000–8,000 vines per hectare.
Vinification
The grapes are carefully selected. Fermentation takes place in open-top oak barrels, followed by 30 days of maceration.
Ageing
The wine matures in barriques for 12 months, followed by a further six months in bottle.
