About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Fisetta is produced from young vineyards in La Morra, situated on hillsides at 300 m above sea level. The sandy, calcareous and clay soils support vines averaging 20–25 years of age, planted at 4,500 vines per hectare. Yield is 60 hl/ha, and annual production is approximately 10,000 bottles.

Vinification

Temperature-controlled maceration takes place in stainless steel.

Ageing

The wine matures in stainless steel, preserving freshness, acidity and fresh-fruit character.

Technical data

Alcohol is 13–13.5%, with acidity of 5.6 g/L. Available formats are 0.375 L and 0.75 L.

Tasting profile

Clear ruby red with purple highlights. The fresh, fruit-led bouquet shows wildflowers and light spice. Full-bodied and flavoursome on the palate, with cherry and blueberry framed by crisp acidity and a savoury, tangy quality.

Serving and pairing

Pair with cured meats, light pasta dishes and fresh cheeses. Cellaring potential is 3–4 years.
