Label / history
Cleto Chiarli founded the company in 1860 after managing Trattoria dell'Artigliere in central Modena, where he made Lambrusco for regular customers before beginning production for wider sale. The business subsequently passed from one generation of the Chiarli family to the next. The Lambrusco grape was known during the Roman Empire and has a long winemaking tradition.
