Label / history
Chiarli was founded in 1860 by Cleto Chiarli, who had previously made Lambrusco for regular customers at the Trattoria dell'Artigliere in central Modena. The favourable reception of those wines prompted him to begin producing for a wider market. The Chiarli family owns more than 90 ha of vineyards within the Lambrusco D.O.C. production area.
