About this wine

Ageing

Released only from exceptional vintages, the Riserva is assembled through a selection of the finest barrels of the year. It remains in the cellar for the full five years required before a Brunello Riserva may be released.

Vintage notes

The historical offering comprises the 1968 and 1977 releases under the Brunello di Montalcino DOC designation and the 1978 and 1980 releases under Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. The dedicated Riserva presentation also identifies the 2000, 2002 and 2005 releases. Each edition is intended to express the climatic character of its vintage.

Formats

The 1968 wine is offered in 0.72 L bottles; the 1977, 1978 and 1980 wines are in 0.75 L bottles. All four are listed in wooden cases of one, three or six bottles.
