About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from Gualdo Cattaneo in the province of Perugia. Early harvesting is favored to retain acidity and freshness and to express the white-wine character of Montefalco.

Grapes

Grechetto and Chardonnay.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed gently at no more than 0.2 bar. After cold settling, the must begins alcoholic fermentation at 12–15°C.

Ageing

The wine matures for three months with weekly bâtonnage. Stainless steel and bottle are used exclusively, preserving the varietal character and freshness.

Tasting profile

Pale yellow. Almond notes mingle with ripe fruit and floral nuances. The palate is fresh and well balanced.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 10–12°C with fish, white-meat dishes or medium-aged cheeses.

Label / history

Grechetto represents the white-wine side of Montefalco. The style is intended to be especially approachable in its youth, while retaining enough personality for a broad range of food pairings.
