About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Nebbiolo comes from a single vineyard in the heart of Monforte d’Alba. Its bricco occupies the top of the hill behind the winery, with a south-west exposure that provides sunlight for most of the day and allows the grapes to develop slowly and ripen fully. Poor clay-limestone soils, rich in iron and minerals, encourage deep root growth and contribute powerful structure and rich tannins.

Ageing

The wine matures for 36 months in 5,000-litre Slavonian oak barrels, followed by at least 26 months in bottle.

Tasting profile

Powerfully structured, with rich tannins.
