About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow around the village of Neive in southwest-facing vineyards with clay and limestone soils. The vines are old.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes ferment in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for 10–12 days.
Ageing
For the first two years, 80% of the wine ages in Slavonian oak casks and 20% in 225-litre French oak barrels. It then spends a further year in Slavonian oak casks, bringing its total time in oak to 36 months, followed by 18 months of bottle maturation.
