Vineyard and terroir
Ovello is a noted site in the Barbaresco growing area. Its vines occupy hills above the Tanaro River, with south/southwest exposure and limestone-rich sandy soil. This position gives the wine its combination of elegance and intensity.

100% Nebbiolo.
Tasting profile
The colour is intense ruby red with pomegranate tones. Aromas evoke prune, forest fruits and mint. The palate is elegant, soft and silky, with well-shaped tannins, fresh acidity and an intriguing balsamic character.
Ageing potential
Expressive when young and also suited to ageing.
