About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The wine comes from 2.28 hectares within the Asili MGA, facing south and southwest. Its calcareous-clay soils contain sandy veins. The parcels belong to the Conti, Giordano, Lembo and Viglino growers.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

The 2021 underwent stainless-steel fermentation at 30°C, with 28 days of maceration on the skins. Malolactic fermentation was completed.

Ageing

Maturation comprised 30 months in oak casks and nine months in bottle. The casks used for this wine range from 25 to 50 hl. The 2021 was bottled in May 2025.

Technical data

Production of the 2021 vintage totaled 13,333 bottles.

Tasting profile

The 2021 is complex, with intense, ripe red fruit, balanced tannins and a persistent finish. The Asili site typically gives a wine of elegance, intensity and complexity that remains austere in youth and develops a more expressive personality with age.

Serving and pairing

Pair with pasta, risotto, white or red meats, and game. The expected longevity is 30 years from the harvest.
