About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the vineyards of Castello della Paneretta.
Vinification
Sangiovese and Canaiolo are harvested separately in mid-September. Fermentation lasts 20 days in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks, with daily pump-overs, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in oak barrels: one-third new, one-third one year old and one-third two years old. The 2009 vintage was bottled in July 2013.
