About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from a small 3 ha vineyard in Contrada Camarda, certified organic approximately 30 years ago. The site lies at 150 m on clay-calcareous soil. The trellised vineyard is planted at 4,400 vines per hectare, and the vines average 25 years of age. Yield is 80–100 quintals per hectare.
Grapes
100% Falanghina. Together with Aglianico, the wine belongs to the Biorganic line.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in October. Skin contact lasts 24–36 hours, followed by fermentation in stainless-steel vats at 16°C. Malolactic fermentation is completed.
Technical data
Production totals 10,000 bottles.
Tasting profile
Bright yellow. The intense, persistent bouquet combines broom and other yellow flowers of the Mediterranean scrub with prominent fruit notes. The palate is dry and fresh, leading to a smooth finish marked by hazelnut and almond nuances.
Serving and pairing
Suitable for fresh and soft cheeses, mozzarella and fried finger foods, as well as raw seafood and shellfish. It can accompany vegetable and seafood pasta—including spaghetti with seafood or paccheri with seafood ragù—white meats, fish and pizza.
