About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from a 4 ha vineyard in the Ramitelli production area at an altitude of 100 m. The soil is clay. The trellised vineyard is planted at 4,400 vines per hectare, and the vines average 22 years of age. Production is 100–130 quintals per hectare (10–13 t/ha). Harvest takes place from late September through the first ten days of October.

Grapes

80% Montepulciano and 20% Aglianico.

Vinification

The grapes remain in contact with the skins for no more than 24 hours. The must is then vinified according to the white-wine method. Malolactic fermentation is not completed.

Ageing

The wine is refined in bottle for three months.

Technical data

2024 vintage. Alcohol: 13%. Production: 15,000 bottles. Contains sulfites.

Tasting profile

Intense, bright pink in color. The complex, fruit-led bouquet recalls raspberries, cherries, and wild strawberries. The palate is very fresh, leading into a long, aromatic finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 8–10°C. Pair with fish soups, grilled fish, raw fish, light cured meats, white meats, or medium-aged cheeses. It can also be served as an aperitif.
