About this wine

Vinification

Slightly overripe grapes are carefully selected and destemmed. The must ferments in stainless-steel tanks at a continuously controlled low temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

The wine matures for at least 24 months in French oak barrels, followed by a further six months in bottle. Several years of bottle age bring greater roundness and a distinctive, intriguing flavour.

Tasting profile

Firm rather than soft, the wine becomes rounder with bottle age.

Label / history

The name Tazzelenghe means “tongue cutter”.
