About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Nero d'Avola grapes come from the Vigne di Luna vineyards in Sicily.
Vinification
Harvest takes place during the first ten days of September. At the winery the grapes are gently pressed, then macerated in stainless steel tanks at 26 °C for 12–15 days, with daily pump-overs.
Ageing
The wine is aged for 4 months, partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in barriques.
Label / history
"Luna Passante" is a collection of still wines with unusual labels made from ceramic in the shape of a crescent moon.
