About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from five biodynamic vineyards in Campo Rotaliano, planted on stony soils with vines reaching 100 years of age. The wider vineyard area has gravel soils enriched by limestone and granite deposited over centuries by the Noce River. Mountain winds keep the warm local microclimate from becoming hot, extending ripening and harvest. Vineyard work has included clonal selection, pruning, replanting and sharply reduced yields.
Grapes
The estate selected and propagated its strongest Teroldego clones to restore the grape’s distinctive qualities.
Vinification
The grapes undergo fermentation before ageing.
Ageing
The wine matures for 24 months in oak casks.
Tasting profile
Granato is concentrated, with a complex aroma and an elegant, harmonious palate. Its Teroldego character includes a velvety texture, subtle spice and lively acidity.
Label / history
The name was inspired by the perceived affinity between grapes and pomegranates: both have Mediterranean origins and, for Foradori, share beauty, charm and intensity.
