About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Sgarzon vineyard, where the vines grow particularly vigorously. Its cooler climate gives the grapes unusual freshness.
The estate’s vineyards in Campo Rotaliano cover more than 80 hectares and lie on gravel soils enriched by limestone and granite deposited over centuries by the Noce River. Winds from the surrounding mountains create a warm but never hot microclimate, prolonging ripening and the harvest season. Vineyard work has included pruning, replanting old vines and sharply reducing yields to express the local terroir more clearly.
Grapes
The estate developed its Teroldego plantings through clonal selection, retaining the best clones.
Vinification
The wine remains in contact with its skins for eight months in large clay tinajas from Villarrobledo, Spain.
Tasting profile
Refined yet rich and energetic, with fruit and floral notes alongside tobacco, liquorice, mint and mineral tones. These flavours persist from the opening sip through a long, clean finish.

Sgarzon is the name of the vineyard and literally means “a shoot in Campo Rotaliano.”
