About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow at 250–300 m in a well-ventilated area. Air movement helps prevent humidity from accumulating and limits botrytis, which could diminish colour intensity and damage the variety’s aromatic complexity. The vineyards face south to southwest, and their soils combine porphyry, sand, clay and limestone.
Grapes
Moscato Rosa.
Vinification
The grapes are vinified in the manner of a red wine but receive only a brief maceration, limiting the extraction of excessively astringent tannins. Fermentation is stopped by chilling when the intended profile has been achieved. The young wine remains in stainless-steel tanks until bottling.
Technical data
Yield ranges from 15 to 25 hL/ha. Production ranges from 12,000 to 15,000 bottles, in a 500 ml format.
Tasting profile
Bright ruby red. The lively, intensely aromatic bouquet evokes roses, cloves, cinnamon and orange peel. The palate has a complex, elegant structure shaped by the interplay of acidity, sweetness and tannin.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 14–16 °C. It can be enjoyed as an aperitif or meditation wine and paired with dry chocolate cakes, woodland-fruit tarts or cocoa-based desserts.
