About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Castelletto comes from the eponymous MeGA in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo. The bunches are selected manually during the October harvest.

Vinification

Maceration lasts 12–18 days in stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

The wine matures for 30 months in a single 25 hL barrel.

Technical data

The 2020 production comprised 2,809 numbered bottles. The 2021 release is offered in 750 ml and 1,500 ml formats.

Tasting profile

A particularly aromatic, taut expression of Castelletto. Spicy and medicinal-herbal notes lead into a fresh, vertical palate.

Serving and pairing

Suitable for red-meat and game main courses, mushroom-based first and main courses, and mature cheeses. The stated cellaring potential is 30 years.

Vintage notes

The 2014 vintage was not produced.
