About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

This municipal Barolo combines two vineyards in Monforte d'Alba, located in the Castelletto and Mosconi MeGA crus. It expresses the area's character through balsamic notes and a full, intact, caressing palate.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

The bunches are selected manually following the October harvest. Maceration lasts approximately 12 days in stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

The wine matures for 24 months in large 35-hL casks.

Technical data

Production of the inaugural 2020 vintage comprised 4,167 numbered bottles. The wine contains sulphites. The listed formats are 750 ml and 1,500 ml.

Tasting profile

Balsamic notes lead into a full, intact and caressing palate.

Serving and pairing

Ageing potential is 25 years. Pair with red-meat or game main courses, mushroom-based first or main courses, and mature cheeses.
