About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Serra dei Turchi comes from the estate’s oldest parcel, in the municipality of La Morra within the Serra dei Turchi MeGA. The smallest bunches are selected from the finest parts of the vineyard.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

Harvest takes place in October. Bunch selection, destemming and berry selection are all performed manually; the berries are detached and selected one by one. Maceration lasts approximately 14 days in small stainless-steel vats.

Ageing

The wine matures for 30 months in 228-litre barrels that have undergone at least six previous passages.

Technical data

The 2021 release comprised 140 individually numbered magnums. The wine is made in limited quantities and released exclusively in magnum format.

Serving and pairing

Pair with red-meat or game main courses, mushroom-based first and main courses, and mature cheeses. Ageing potential is 25 years.

Vintage notes

The 2019 vintage was not produced. The inaugural release was 2015.
