About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyards grow on reddish clay soils.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, to preserve a balance of fruitiness and freshness. The must macerates for 36 hours in cement tanks, and the grapes are then gently pressed and the must fermented.

Ageing

The wine ages in 70 hL oak barrels for more than 2 years and 8 months. It receives no treatment before bottling.

Tasting profile

Harmonious and well balanced, with a distinctive Sicilian character.

Vintage notes

2017: a warm summer with little rain allowed the Nero d'Avola grapes to develop a high concentration of flavour and aroma.

Label / history

"Conventazzo" is the historic name of the plot. "Terre" refers to its distinctive soil type.
