About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the Codana vineyard in Castiglione Falletto. The southwest-facing site has silty, limestone-rich soils with a high proportion of grey-blue marl of marine origin. The vines are 60–70 years old.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand during the first two weeks of October. Traditional vinification includes a fermentation lasting 15–20 days.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in large French oak casks.
