About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown in the municipality of Nizza Monferrato, one of the best-known areas for Barbera in the Asti zone.

Vinification

The harvest is traditionally done by hand. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks for 10 days, followed by malolactic fermentation.

Ageing

The wine ages for 6 months in stainless steel tanks, which preserves its pure fruit character, freshness and the bright acidity typical of Barbera.

Tasting profile

Juicy and lively, with bright fruit and refreshing acidity. The palate shows blueberry, raspberry, ripe plum and subtle spice. The style is fresh, energetic, open and expressive.

Serving and pairing

Suited to pasta, meat dishes and relaxed Italian-style dinners.

Label / history

"Desideria" means "desire" in Italian and refers to the wine's open, expressive style.
