About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the Laficaia vineyard in the Casalotto cru, in the municipality of Mombaruzzo. Its southern exposure supports phenolic ripeness and the development of delicate aromas.
Vinification
The ripest grapes are selected in the vineyard before being carefully harvested and vinified in steel tanks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for six months in 500-litre French oak barrels.
Tasting profile
Young, complex and rounded, with delicate aromas and the freshness associated with Barbera.
Label / history
The vineyard takes its name from the fig tree under which Clemente Guasti liked to spend time. The 2020 vintage received a gold medal at the Mundus Vini competition.
