Vineyard and terroir
The Pinot Nero vineyard occupies the eastern side of the Il Poggiolo vineyard at Località Sasso al Vento, 450 m above sea level. Its sandy-loam soil contains clay and abundant galestro-derived stony material.
Grapes
100% Pinot Nero.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks for approximately 12 days, accompanied by manual punch-downs.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in fifth-use French oak barriques, followed by another 12 months in bottle.

Rosso Toscana IGT. Alcohol: 14%.
Tasting profile
Bright, delicate red with an orange-tinged rim. Wild strawberry and raspberry aromas are joined by floral nuances. The complex bouquet also reveals touches of resin and incense, leading to a delicate, balsamic finish.
