About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The estate vineyards lie at 450 m above sea level in Brunello di Montalcino, on sandy limestone soils containing loose, stony material.
Grapes
The wine is made from Sangiovese Grosso, also known as Brunello.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in wooden tanks at a controlled temperature for approximately 21–25 days.
Ageing
The wine matures for two years in 225- and 500-litre American and French oak barrels, followed by eight months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
