About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the winery's own vineyards in Montalcino, at 450 metres above sea level. The soils are sandy limestone with plenty of stones.
Grapes
The variety is Sangiovese Grosso, known locally as Brunello.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and lasts 15–20 days.
Ageing
The wine ages for one year in 255-litre oak barrels. After bottling it rests at least 4 months in the winery's cellars.
