About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards are situated at Località Il Poggiolo in Montalcino, at 450 metres above sea level. They face south-east and have sandy-loam soils marked by limestone plates and abundant stones.
Grapes
Sangiovese and Merlot.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks for approximately 21–25 days.
Ageing
The wine matures for 6 months in second-use French oak barriques, followed by 6 months of refinement in bottle.
Technical data
Rosso Toscana IGT. Alcohol: 13–14%.
Tasting profile
Bright ruby red. The nose is fresh and fruit-driven. The palate is soft and mineral, with good structure and balanced tannins.
