About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from vines in Avellino that are 125–200 years old. They grow in Paternopoli, the highest part of the Taurasi Valley. The cool continental climate supports slow ripening while preserving freshness and elegance.
Vinification
Wood is not used during vinification, in order to preserve the grape’s distinctive varietal aroma.
Ageing
Ten per cent of the wine matures in oak barrels, while the remainder spends 24 months in fiberglass tanks. After blending and bottling, it rests for several more months in the winery’s cellars.
Tasting profile
The wine has a fresh, elegant character and retains Aglianico’s distinctive varietal aroma.
