About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Fiano comes from the Lapio vineyard, where the surviving vines are 80–100 years old and predate the phylloxera outbreak. Their bunches have concentrated flavour and aroma.
Vinification
The wine undergoes a long fermentation stated to last more than 60 years.
Ageing
It matures in previously used chestnut barrels.
Tasting profile
The aroma is remarkably complex and layered. The palate is very full, deep and intriguing.
Serving and pairing
Decant for 30–60 minutes before serving.
Label / history
The wine originated from Joaquin’s aim to revive traditional Campanian wines using old farming methods.
