About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie at 300–400 metres and face from south to south-east. The moderately calcareous soils are rich in minerals, with balanced proportions of silt, clay and sand.
Grapes
100% Barbera.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand, completely destemmed and gently pressed. Controlled-temperature fermentation is followed by an 8–10-day maceration. Malolactic fermentation takes place in wooden barrels.
Serving and pairing
A suitable companion for substantial first courses and meat-based main courses.
