About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The vineyard is in Ravera, in the municipality of Novello, at 350 m with a south-east exposure. The site forms a natural amphitheatre with favourable sunlight. Its mineral-rich Lequio Formation soil dates to approximately 11–12 million years ago and consists of about 50% silt, with the remainder divided between sand and clay; active-lime content is high.

Grapes

100% Nebbiolo.

Vinification

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks.

Ageing

The wine is elevated in wooden barrels and porcelain eggs.

Tasting profile

Ravera gives a structured, harmonious and complete wine with good body and elegant tannins. Aromas combine ripe fruit, spices and flowers. The palate is balanced, while the overall structure is imposing.

Serving and pairing

Particularly suited to red-meat main courses and game; it also pairs with cheeses.
