About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes grow near the high-altitude village of Graun, at more than 800 m above sea level. The Alps shield the area from cold northerly air, while warm, humid air arrives from Lake Garda and the Mediterranean Sea. Warm days and cool nights help the grapes develop their aromatic potential.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.

Ageing

The wine matures for nine months in large oak barrels.

Tasting profile

Fresh and notably aromatic.

Vintage notes

In 2020, a relatively mild winter was followed by a rainy March and a dry, warm April, prompting flowering slightly earlier than usual. The summer had no prolonged periods of extreme heat, but the growing season was short and harvesting began in early September. The vintage's white wines have appealing acidity.
