About this wine

Grapes

The blend consists mainly of Trebbiano, Pecorino and Gewürztraminer, with small quantities of other white varieties. The exact composition is kept secret and may vary.

Vinification

Vinification takes place in stainless-steel tanks. Extended skin contact gives the wine its tannic character. It is bottled without added sulfur dioxide and without filtration, leaving it cloudy and potentially sedimented.

Tasting profile

Zesty and markedly high in acidity, with a tannic character and bright aromatics.

Vintage notes

In Abruzzo, the 2020 growing season coincided with restrictions caused by the Covid pandemic. A mild winter was followed by a cool spring, and frequent rain in May slowed the growing cycle. A hot, dry summer brought the grapes to phenolic ripeness, while cool nights preserved their acidity and bright aromatic profile. The fruit reached harvest in excellent condition, although yields were lower than usual.

Label / history

“Miscela” means “blend” in Italian, referring to the wine’s composition and secret recipe.
