About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

Produced from hillside vineyards at Impruneta, at 200 m above sea level. The vines face south-west and grow in clay-shale soils.

Grapes

Predominantly Sangiovese.

Vinification

Harvest takes place during the last ten days of September. Vinification is conducted in stainless-steel tanks with low additions of sulphites. The wine is offered in two variants: low sulphites and no added sulphites.

Ageing

Three months in a concrete tank, followed by at least three months in bottle.

Technical data

Alcohol: approximately 14%.

Tasting profile

Intense ruby red with violet reflections. The bouquet is broad, sweet and fruity, with distinct spicy notes. The palate is vinous and marked by sour-cherry flavours, with freshness, balance and liveliness leading to a dry finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 16–18°C. Pair with lighter red meat dishes, mushrooms, pâtés and aged hard cheeses.
