About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
Produced in Greve in Chianti from hillside vineyards at 300 m above sea level. The exposure is south-west, and the soil consists of clay shale.
Grapes
Predominantly Sangiovese.
Vinification
Harvest takes place during the first ten days of October. Vinification is carried out in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The wine is matured for 18 months; the ageing vessel is not specified.
Technical data
Alcohol: approximately 13.5%.
Tasting profile
Ruby red with light garnet nuances. The broad, sweet and fruit-led bouquet combines distinct vanilla notes with spicy phenolic aromas. Medium in tannic structure, the palate opens with a sweet impression and develops a full mid-palate supported by lively acidity. The finish is persistent and fruity.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 18–19°C. Pair with simple red-meat dishes, mushrooms, pâté and mature dry cheeses.
