About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in western Tuscany, in a naturally cool site completely surrounded by forest. The alluvial soils contribute natural elegance, while the location helps preserve freshness and lively acidity in warmer years.
Vinification
Fermentation takes place in large open barrels over 20 days. The must is pumped over during the first 80% of fermentation; during the remaining 20%, it undergoes gentle skin maceration without active pump-overs.
Ageing
The wine matures for 34 months in oak barrels, followed by five months in concrete vats.
Tasting profile
The 2021 has a rich flavour and silky texture, with elegance, freshness and lively acidity. Its aroma and flavour are harmonious and deep.
Serving and pairing
Recommended for drinking from 2028.
Vintage notes
The 2021 growing season was warm, but the cool, forest-surrounded site helped the grapes retain freshness and lively acidity.
