About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow in Oltrepo Pavese, a historic region in northwestern Italy near the 45th parallel, where the climate is moderate. The soils are a clay-limestone mixture with marl and gypsum.
Vinification
The grapes are pressed gently and undergo cold maceration. Fermentation follows at low temperatures with carefully selected yeasts. Every batch undergoes strict analytical testing.
Ageing
The wine is aged in temperature-controlled steel tanks with periodic bâtonnage, which adds depth and body while preserving freshness and pure varietal character. It is bottled using a cold sterile filling process.
Tasting profile
Elegant and lively, combining freshness and structure with delicate fruit and mineral notes from the terroir. It reflects the style of northwestern Italy.
Label / history
Pinot Grigio has been known in Oltrepo Pavese since the seventeenth century. The text says its varieties were mentioned even earlier by Pliny the Elder. The berries have an almost reddish colour, and this white variety arose through a natural mutation of Pinot Noir.
